Captain Position (Min. Masters 25 Ton required)
Coastal Cruises operates inspected passenger vessels with multiple brands and locations on the upper Chesapeake Bay and Delaware River. We have a solid reputation with the USCG for the superior condition of our vessels, safety and training practices and the professional way we operate. Our goal is to create unforgettable memories and experiences on the water for our guests.
About the Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Captain with a proven safety record who understands the passenger vessel industry and local waterways who can motivate, train and work well with other crew members. Significant opportunity to make tips plus base pay per trip while being outside and on the water!
Excellent pay: Pay is based on experience. Average rate $30-$40 per hour plus tips. Opportunity to work 5+ days a week.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- 25-ton Masters License or greater
- Vessel handling and navigation knowledge
- Experience operating passenger vessels a plus but not required, can be trained
- Ability to operate vessel in accordance with all Coast Guard rules and regulations
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and all major holidays in season
- Must pass random drug tests and background check for pre-employment
- Be energetic and have a good work ethic
First Mate/Bartender
Coastal Cruises operates inspected passenger vessels with multiple brands and locations on the upper Chesapeake Bay and Delaware River. Our tours and cruises consist of music, narration of local waterways and significant points of interest, capacity of up to 49 passengers and onboard beverage sales. Our goal is to create unforgettable memories and experiences on the water for our guests. We entertain many tourists with both public cruises and private charters for birthdays, corporate team outings, etc.
About the Opportunity:
We are looking for outgoing individuals to provide guests with an exceptional experience onboard our tour vessels. As the First Mate you will be working on our vessels as part of the marine crew. The first mate is responsible for the appearance of the vessels, assisting the captain with docking and undocking, and providing a safe and fun experience for our guests. Additional duties include helping customers onboard, loading supplies and serving drinks and snacks onboard our service bar. Experience is not required but you must be willing and eager to learn. Significant opportunity to make tips plus base pay per trip/ hourly while being outside on the water!
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the captain with docking and undocking and handling lines
- Provide professional customer service to our guests
- Ensure all safety practices are being followed
- Maintain the boat in a clean manner
- Load and unload supplies and ice on board daily
- Responsibly serve drinks
- Additional job duties assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must pass random drug tests and background checks for pre-employment
- Have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work weekends and all major holidays in season
- Ability for weekday and weekend shifts
- Be energetic and have a good work ethic
- CPR/First Aid and Online Alcohol Awareness Course provided if you do not currently have it
Ticket Booth Agent

Our goal is to create unforgettable memories and experiences on the water for our guests. We entertain many tourists with both public cruises and private charters for birthdays, corporate team outings, etc.
About the Opportunity:
We are looking for motivated individuals to assist with reservations from our ticket building, greet guests when they arrive, keep an inventory of supplies, sell merchandise and distribute information about our cruises and tours to potential customers.
Currently hiring for these two locations: Chesapeake City, Maryland and the Wilmington Riverfront
Hourly pay starting at $15
Seasonal opportunity from April through October, mostly weekends

Guest Services & Social Media Coordinator

About the Opportunity:
This is a multifaceted position offering remote content creation and in-person ticket sales and marketing. Possible opportunity for the right candidate to also work onboard the boats as a member of the crew to assist the captain with vessel operations and safety serving beverages.
You will support our staff with content creation and managing our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Tiki Tok). Intermediate Social Media capabilities preferred. You will be expected to create a strategy to maximize social media channels and reach new audiences. Opportunity to work in person facilitating ticket and merchandise sales at both of our locations: Chesapeake City, MD and Riverfront, Wilmington, DE
